Vreo 2 ani de zile am cautat o anumita varianta live a acestui cantec; am auzit-o intamplator atunci, and I loved it, mai ales din cauza unui „solo scatuit de voce” al unei domnisoare foarte placute auditiv [foarte pe scurt, scatul este un mod de a canta vocal, prin diverse combinatii de silabe, check out Scatman John pentru the man]. De foarte multa vreme nu mi-a venit sa ascult un singur cantec de mai multe ori consecutiv, dar cantecul asta… wow… e impresionant. Atat prin complexitatea instrumentala cat si prin feeling, iar combinatia asta atat de rara, inseamna apogeu muzical.
The Cat Empire e o trupa australiana, care reuseste sa interpreteze un fusion intre jazz, reggae, indie, ska, latino si rock alternativ. Toti membri sunt scoliti in ale muzicii, fapt resimtit in profesionalismul demonstrat.
The Lost Song e inclus in albumul lor din 2003, The Cat Empire, iar aceasta varianta live, interpretata alaturi de Julie O’Hara, este extrasa din dvd-ul lor live, On the Attack, din 2005. O sa gasiti pe numeroase bloguri notite si pareri legate de acest cantec, iar daca eu nu v-am convins sa il ascultati, cu siguranta lectura commenturilor de pe youtube o va face. Check it out :).

Nu prea sunt de acord cu ideea de a renunta in cautarea „Imperiului”, insa, gandindu-ma mai mult, omul isi gaseste mai multe „Imperii” de-a lungul vietii sale, si poate pe unele trebuie pur si simplu sa le uite…
